3 Weeks To A 30 Minute Running Habit: Week 2

Day 8: 3 minute warm up + run 3 minutes walk 1 minute 4 times + run 1 minute walk 1 minute 4 times + 3 minute cool down
I’m still feeling sick, but luckily i’m okay enough to run. I was kind of nervous that I wouldn’t be able to do this and then the small amount of progress I have made with running would go away. As long as I don’t get any sicker than what I am now I should be good and able to run through this.

Day 9: 3 minute warm up + run 2 minutes walk 1 minute 6 times + 3 minute cool down
This was the first day I did it completely without music. I wanted to see how it would be. It definitely felt like it was longer then the other days, but I did it. I’m happy I still like this whole running thing.

Day 10: Rest day
I’m really happy for the rest day. I wasn’t really in the mood to exercise and when I went to look at what I was supposed to do today it was really nice seeing nothing.

Day 11: 3 minute warm up + 3 minutes running 1 minute walking 5 times + 3 minute cool down
This was the first day I really felt like I couldn’t do it. I felt so incredibly tired and running was really hard. I think it was because I wasn’t in the best mood because of other things do my mind just wasn’t set on running. I ended up doing all the walking at a speed between 2-4 mph and the running was at a speed between 4-6 mph.

Day 12: 3 minute warm up + 2 minutes running 1 minute walking 8 times + 3 minute cool down
Felt kind of sick near the end. Luckily that was only for the last 5 minutes and not the entire time. Running was at 6 mph and walking was between 2-4 mph. I use Nike Plus when running and it automatically posts my run to Facebook and twitter. On Facebook someone left a comment telling me how fast a female my age in the army would have to run 2 miles. I think once I get someone good at running I am going to try to do that. So to that person I would like to say thank you. You have given me some sort of new goal to do once I get kind of goodish at running.

Day 13: Rest Day
I wasn’t home so it kind of worked out that I had a rest day and didn’t need the treadmill.

Day 14: 3 minute warm up + 3 minute running 1 minute walking 5 times + 3 minute cool down
It was kind of difficult but I did it. It’s kind of awesome seeing myself get better at running.
